ABOUT REBECCA BUSBEE

Health and Wellness Coach

Hi there, I’m Becky, a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Think of me as a mirror-- I can help you see how wonderful, and worthy you are of taking better care of yourself.

I offer coaching and workshops for Moms, mommies, mamas, single moms, married moms, working moms, stay at home moms, bio moms, stepmoms, adoptive moms and adopted moms, etc. Regardless of race, sexuality or gender, if someone depends on you for love, care and support, I am here to help you reach your goals.

You are someones everything, and they (and just as importantly you), deserve to have you at your very best. Show them what it really looks like to love yourself, by putting your health and wellbeing first.

If you are looking for motivation, inspiration, support, and accountability, coaching can offer you just that. I use a holistic approach to help you determine what is most valuable to you. You’ll set goals that align with what is important to you, and build actions that use your strengths, abilities and the things that make you uniquely you, to set you out on a path to success. There is no one formula, and together, we'll co-design a plan that works for you

Why I coach?

I absolutely love working with fellow moms like myself, especially new moms trying to navigate their way through the early days of motherhood. This is an area that is very close to my heart. When I left my career in retail management after almost 20 years to stay at home with my daughter, I felt completely lost in the wilderness. Transitioning from working 50 hours a week, constantly interacting with people, to the isolation of being at home with an infant, was a major change of pace. My identity was work, and I didn’t quite know how to exist outside of my job. I was home alone and I had no idea who I really was, or what I wanted to do with myself. I had wanted children my entire life.  Being a stay at home mom was supposed to be the ultimate. I had reached my biggest goal, I was a mom. Now what?

.

Well, does anything ever go as planned? I hadn’t counted on postpartum depression. I hadn’t counted on the loneliness, the constant worry, the sleepless nights, the fear of judgment, the pressure to get it all right, the self-inflicted high expectations, and the constant comparisons. I was left in a state of paralysis. I wasn’t sure what direction to go in, but I had to find my way forward, for both myself and my family.

I struggled in those early months… and still, do. It’s so easy to set your own needs aside, especially when you’re not even sure what it exactly is that you need. A hug? A shower? Sex? Connection? Alone time? A date night? A new career path? A doctors appointment? Medications? Weight loss? To eat better? To sleep better? To exercise more? To love yourself and find true self-compassion? Or, a combination of all of the above?

Through coaching, self-exploration, and mindfulness practices, I finally found my groove and I've been able to reconnect with who I am and what I needed. I needed community, I needed support. I needed freedom and forgiveness (Hello! Mom guilt) to explore and dabble. To try new things. To learn who I am as a mother, and as Rebecca Busbee.

This is what brought me to coaching. Motherhood wasn’t the end all, but the start of a new path. In those quiet moments, the road appeared and I started my Master’s degree in Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

I've discovered what it is I truly have to offer out into the world, and I want my clients to experience this for themselves. I love seeing a client light up with excitement and passion when they begin to find alignment and discover more purpose, confidence, and meaning in their lives and seeing results, they never thought possible.
