WHAT IS HOLISTIC WELLNESS COACHING?

I'm here to help. 

Coaching, what it is and isn't.  

The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."


Coaching honors the extraordinary light that resides inside each of us. We are all the sum of our own unique experiences, and those that come to coaching arrive with their own personal stories and strengths. Coaching is a non-prescriptive approach to healing, that recognizes those strengths as powerful tools that can be used to carve out your own path to wellness. Everyone's path is different, as a coach, I am here to walk beside you and offer support as you navigate the terrain.  


I believe that you know yourself the best, and I don't have the answers, as a coach I will not offer you advice.


Coaching is not counseling or therapy. I am not qualified to treat mental illness. I can refer you to a mental health professional if you have questions or need to talk to someone. Coaching is also not a substitute for medical care. I am not a medical professional, if you need medical advice, I can also refer you to a health professional. I am here to support you on your wellness journey and want you to feel your best body, mind, and spirit. Ethically it is important that stay within the boundaries of coaching. 


Holistic Wellness Coach? 

As a Holistic Wellness Coach, I use a multidimensional approach to wellness. I focus on you, as a complete and whole being— your strengths, your story, who you are, body, mind, and spirit... uniquely you. Beyond our physical selves, our career, relationships, and environments can also greatly influence our health and wellbeing. Through coaching, you'll take a deeper look into those and other areas of your life, and figure out what's been standing in your way. Together we'll create a map to help get you to where you want to be.

Is Coaching Right For You?

Coaching can be beneficial to a wide variety of needs. Whether you are seeking help breaking habits, beginning new ones or trying to maintain a current behavior, coaching can help.


Some common reasons one might seek out a coach could include: making dietary changes, starting a new exercise plan, weight loss, getting more sleep, smoking cessation, making a career change, adapting to new roles, or following through on doctors orders. Coaching is here to help you find your best self.


I especially have a passion for working with new moms, helping them as they adjust and find balance within their new role.  


Logistics.

I offer convenient evening and weekend hours that can easily fit into your busy schedule. Sessions generally last 45 mins, and can even be done by phone or video conferencing. I offer a variety of packages to best suit your needs. Whether you need consistent weekly support, something more intensive, monthly maintenance check-ins, or more, there is an option for you. 


You may have heard that it takes 21 days to form a new habit, real change however takes time, patience and practice. I would recommend at least 12-15 sessions to establish a solid foundation to put you on your way to making lasting change. This is isn't a quick fix, this is work. Change is hard, and I want you to have the support and encouragement you need when things get tough. 


The first step is to schedule a consultation, which generally lasts about 20 minutes. In that time I'll be able to answer all your questions about the coaching process and explain the options I have available.  


If we are a good fit from there we'll schedule a discovery session, and begin our partnership.
